Senior Strategic Account Manager – Medical Surgical & Neuroscience

About the role

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Strategic Account Manager to drive growth of its Medical Surgical and Neuroscience enterprise accounts across Queensland. You will build and manage executive‑level relationships with private hospital buying groups and key healthcare stakeholders, shaping long‑term commercial agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and maintain commercial viability across assigned private hospital buying groups, meeting revenue, profitability and growth targets.
• Own executive‑level customer relationships, acting as the primary contact for CEOs, CFOs and other C‑suite stakeholders.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans that align customer priorities with Medtronic’s business objectives.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations, including offer modelling, financial analysis, pricing strategy and contract execution.
• Partner with operating‑unit leaders, sales and marketing teams to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic or corporate account management, sales or commercial leadership.
• Proven experience managing complex commercial negotiations and influencing executive‑level stakeholders.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in business analytics and profitability management.
• Ability to travel within Australia to support customer engagement.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
