Senior Solution Architect

About the role

Medibank is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join its Performance, Architecture & Innovation (PAI) team. You will shape and deliver technology solutions that drive business outcomes, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to design scalable, secure and innovative solutions aligned with enterprise strategy. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of solution architectures aligned with business goals and strategic technology direction.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements, define solution visions and deliver business-focused architecture outcomes.
• Drive alignment between solution, enterprise and platform architecture for an integrated technology landscape.
• Establish and maintain architecture standards, governance practices and reusable architectural assets.
• Facilitate workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams on planning, design and delivery.
• Evaluate technology solutions, support vendor selection and recommend architecture options.
• Champion innovation, continuous improvement and architectural best practice across programs and teams.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience delivering solution architecture in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to develop pragmatic architecture strategies, roadmaps and recommendations.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale, multi-system solutions across Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Architecture frameworks, governance and methodologies such as TOGAF and SAFe.
• Stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing, including communicating complex concepts simply.
• Analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, managing multiple priorities.
