Senior Quantity Surveyor – Head Contractor – ASAP Start!

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established boutique cost consultancy in Sydney. The successful candidate will work on commercial refurbishment, fit‑out and infrastructure projects for tier‑1 and tier‑2 clients, providing strategic commercial and contractual guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit head‑contract payment claims and variations.
• Support the development of subcontract, consultancy and supplier packages.
• Assist the procurement process and maintain a register of subcontract variations.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier payments and prepare payment schedules.
• Produce financial reports, cost management, cash‑flow forecasts and support dispute resolution.
• Carry out contracts administration throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior role, either within a head‑contractor or cost consultancy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
