Senior Quality Engineer

About the role

Metro Finance is seeking a hands‑on Senior Quality Engineer to lead functional and automation testing across web applications, APIs and integrations. You will collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts and developers to ensure high‑quality software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria; participate in sprint planning and story refinement.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright, C# and TypeScript; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute functional, system, integration and regression testing, including API testing with Postman/Swagger and database validation with SQL.
• Support UAT preparation, release validation and root‑cause analysis; promote BDD practices across the team.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in QA, test automation or SDET roles.
• Strong functional testing experience for web and API applications.
• Australian working rights (citizen or permanent resident).

Required skills

• Playwright, C#, TypeScript, SpecFlow/Reqnoll.
• Behaviour‑Driven Development (BDD) concepts.
• API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger.
• SQL for data validation.
• Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline integration.
