Senior Project Manager – Tier 2 Contractor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of transport and water infrastructure projects across Sydney. You will manage projects ranging from $5m to $10m+ and contribute to business development, tendering and team recruitment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead business development activities, including tender preparation and work‑winning.
• Recruit, build and manage project teams with support from senior management.
• Develop comprehensive project programmes and ensure they are communicated to all stakeholders.
• Oversee project delivery from inception through to completion, maintaining quality, safety and HSEQ standards.
• Identify, assess and manage construction risks, escalating issues as required.
• Control project expenditure, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Manage design, contracts, subcontractors and client expectations.
• Produce regular progress reports and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience delivering construction projects, preferably within Tier 1‑3 environments.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage high‑performing teams.
• Demonstrated experience with greenfield projects and complex infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
