Senior Project Manager – Data Centres

About the role

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale data centre projects across Australia. You will own the full project lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver mission‑critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of building services projects, from feasibility and design through procurement, construction and close‑out.
• Act as the primary client interface, building trusted relationships and ensuring commercially successful outcomes.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, sustainability, structures, digital engineering) and coordinate design integration.
• Oversee project governance, including scope, programme, budgeting, forecasting, risk management and performance reporting.
• Drive construction phase activities, handling contractor coordination, RFIs and on‑site issue resolution.
• Manage commercial and contractual aspects such as fee proposals, variations and invoicing.

Required profile

• 10+ years’ experience in project management within the built environment or engineering consultancy.
• Proven track record delivering multidisciplinary building services projects of at least $10M budget.
• Demonstrated leadership, business acumen and senior practitioner status.
• Extensive experience with public and private sector clients and relevant governance frameworks.
• Strong capability in project governance, risk management and safety‑in‑design processes.
