Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

About the role

McMahon Services is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial construction projects across South Australia. You will own project delivery from pre‑construction through completion, building strong client relationships and mentoring junior project professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of major commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to Project Managers, Site Managers and project teams, developing capability across the business.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, procurement, contract administration, risk management and programme delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7+ years delivering commercial construction projects in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager capacity.
• Proven experience with Design & Construct projects and multi‑storey commercial builds.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing project financial performance.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or similar (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management software such as Procore or Pronto.
• Experience delivering projects for Tier 2 or high‑performing Tier 3 contractors.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and delivery methodologies.
