Senior Project Engineer – Geotech (Queensland)

About the role

ACCIONA Australia is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Senior Project Engineer for its Geotech division in Queensland. The role is centred on delivering geotechnical projects safely, on schedule and within budget while providing technical leadership across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project engineering activities including planning, design coordination, technical review and quality control.
• Develop and track project programmes, manage risk and design interfaces, and support procurement and construction teams with technical guidance.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers and subcontractors, preparing documentation, reports and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior engineers, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support stakeholder communication and client engagement.

Required profile

• Strong project engineering and management experience, particularly in planning, scheduling and delivering complex infrastructure or geotechnical works.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical or related); membership or eligibility with a professional engineering body is preferred.
• Proven experience on construction or infrastructure sites with a solid commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
