Senior Manager – Tax Governance

About the role

KPMG’s Tax & Legal division is seeking a Senior Manager with deep expertise in tax governance to join its Tax Governance & Transparency team. You will work with senior client stakeholders to shape tax governance frameworks, enhance controls, and drive transparent reporting across a diverse portfolio of domestic and international organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project delivery and new‑business development for tax governance and transparency engagements.
• Assess, test, and enhance tax governance measures, controls, and reporting processes.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on tax governance findings and recommendations.
• Support clients in developing tax transparency reports and improving tax control frameworks.
• Collaborate with tax technical, transformation, sustainability, and internal audit teams on cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Significant advisory or in‑house experience in tax governance, risk, and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and generate business opportunities.
• Experience applying ATO guidance on tax governance, preferably within financial services or funds.

Required skills

• Knowledge of tax governance frameworks and controls.
• Proficiency in evaluating and testing design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Experience preparing tax transparency reports.
