Senior Manager, Internal Communications

About the role

Mars Pet Nutrition ANZ is looking for a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to report to the Corporate Affairs Director and partner closely with the General Manager and leadership team. The role leads the internal communication strategy that connects Associates across the ANZ business, from manufacturing sites in Wodonga, Bathurst and Wacol to the Melbourne and Auckland offices and remote Field Sales teams. It also leads the community partnerships and purpose activation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Elevate Associate communications by shaping and delivering an integrated strategic internal communications program that keeps Associates informed, inspired and connected to the company's purpose and growth ambitions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager and Leadership Team on leadership communication, organisational change, culture, engagement and reputation.
• Drive communications for key business transformation initiatives so Associates feel informed, involved and supported.
• Lead the community partnerships and purpose activation agenda, giving Associates opportunities to contribute to their communities.
• Create engaging communication experiences that connect Associates across manufacturing sites, support office and Field Sales teams.
• Innovate using traditional and digital platforms to evolve communication channels, campaigns and measurement approaches.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in senior corporate communication roles, preferably within a large, global organisation.
• Degree in communications, marketing or a related business discipline.
• Proven track record of developing and leading organisation-wide internal and change communication strategies.
• Ability to influence and advise senior executives strategically.
• Experience implementing Corporate Social Responsibility programs and partnering with charity and community groups.
