Senior Management Accountant

About the role

Veolia Environmental Services is looking for a Senior Management Accountant based in Pyrmont, NSW, to partner with its NSW Water operations team. You will strengthen financial performance, support informed decision-making and help deliver essential water services across a complex, multi-site business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month-end activities, working capital, client billing, balance sheet reconciliations, stocktakes and capex management and reporting
• Lead P&L reporting, financial analysis and KPI accuracy across NSW Water contracts
• Monitor financial performance, sharing insights and identifying risks and opportunities
• Lead annual budget and forecasts, coordinating inputs from various teams
• Support audits, governance and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Lead financial projects and process improvements, and promote a safe workplace
• Manage and support a reporting Assistant Accountant, guiding their day-to-day work and development

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and reporting within a commercial business partnering capacity
• Commercial acumen: understanding business drivers and linking financial results to operational performance
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with stakeholder engagement at all levels
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Current driver's licence

Required skills

• Experience with SAP Business One (S4) and TM1 (preferred)
• Membership of a relevant accounting industry association (e.g. CA, CPA)
