Senior Advisor Contracts and Procurement

About the role

Veolia is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts and Procurement Advisor to support its water operations across NSW. Working with regional leaders, operational teams and technical specialists, you will develop practical procurement strategies that reduce risk, improve processes and deliver value. The role covers spend such as minor capital works, spares, consumables, consulting and other indirect services, and involves occasional travel to NSW water sites. It can be based in Pyrmont, Wollongong or Newcastle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with operational priorities
• Advise stakeholders on procurement processes, policies and requirements
• Analyse spend and market trends to identify savings and improvements
• Manage supplier categories, relationships and performance
• Support contract reviews with project owners, Legal and Finance
• Identify procurement risks and develop practical controls
• Improve procurement guidelines, templates and processes
• Monitor performance and report on procurement outcomes

Required profile

• Strong procurement experience across multiple categories
• Experience supporting operational, infrastructure or project environments
• Ability to turn business needs into practical procurement solutions
• Availability to travel occasionally to NSW water sites
