Credit Assurance Officer

About the role

Capricorn, a member-owned organisation serving Australian and New Zealand businesses since 1974, is hiring a Credit Assurance Officer. You will process credit limit reviews so that assessments are accurate, complete and delivered within agreed service levels, helping maintain strong credit controls while supporting Members and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process credit limit reviews accurately and on time.
• Monitor changes to directors, guarantees, property and loan collateral, trade credit insurance and Member credit files.
• Complete required due diligence, keep records current and respond to adverse events affecting a Member's risk profile.
• Balance competing priorities in a busy environment, complete credit limit audits and support the Senior Credit Assurance Officer and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• At least two years' experience in a similar role or an administrative role within a professional environment.
• Sound understanding of credit risk assessment practices.
• Ability to manage competing demands, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
• No formal qualification required.

Required skills

• Intermediate capability across the Microsoft Office suite.
• Careful, organised approach to managing detailed information and stakeholder requests.
