Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

Lendi Group is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide commercially focused legal advice across its diverse business lines, including mortgage broking, lending, technology, and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to senior leaders on strategic initiatives, new products, acquisitions and regulatory changes.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier, technology and service contracts.
• Advise on AI design and governance, covering legal, regulatory, privacy and ethical considerations.
• Manage complex regulatory matters such as consumer credit, AML/CTF, competition law, franchising and real‑estate licensing.
• Oversee external counsel, ensuring quality, scope and budget control.

Required profile

• 6+ years of legal experience in financial services, fintech or a highly regulated environment.
• Law degree with a current practising certificate and strong commercial judgement.
• Proven ability to translate complex legal issues into practical advice for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of consumer credit, AML/CTF, competition, franchising and privacy regulations.
