Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial & Property Law

About the role

We are a leading Australian renewable energy independent power producer seeking a commercially‑minded Senior Legal Counsel to join our high‑performing legal team of four. Based in Sydney, you will work on a diverse portfolio focused on commercial and property matters across our generation and infrastructure assets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic legal advice on a broad range of commercial and property issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate agreements and transaction documentation.
• Manage a varied caseload in a fast‑paced environment.
• Identify legal risks and propose practical, workable solutions.
• Engage and manage external counsel on complex matters.

Required profile

• 4–8 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial and property law.
• Experience working for an independent power producer or developer.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Property law expertise.
• Legal risk assessment.
