Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

BlueScope is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its ANZ Internal Audit team. The role will provide independent assurance and insights across Australia and New Zealand operations, helping to improve governance, risk management and control effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning and fieldwork through to reporting, identifying control improvements and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Analyse complex data to spot trends, risks and opportunities for process enhancement.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders while maintaining independence and objectivity.
• Support transformation initiatives, including data‑driven and technology‑enabled assurance methods.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience in internal audit, external audit or risk advisory within a large corporate or professional services environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business or related field; professional qualifications (CA, CIA, CISA, CISSP) are highly regarded.

Required skills

• Experience with data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI.
• Project management capability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
