Senior Health and Safety Advisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to lead HSE implementation on the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant project in Perth. You will embed safety as a core business value and drive a strong safety culture across the workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate site HSE systems, identify hazards, assess and control risks.
• Provide expert advice on incident prevention and occupational health.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and industry requirements for plant and equipment.
• Promote environmental protection and safe work practices.
• Analyse risk data, evaluate uncertainties, critical hazard points, probability and impact.
• Gather documentary evidence to support legal defence where required.
• Educate and engage co‑workers to continuously improve OHS/WHS performance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in health, safety and environmental management within large infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety culture, accountability and awareness at all workforce levels.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills for risk assessment and data interpretation.
