Senior Estimator

About the role

Alder Group is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its Commercial Estimating team at the Helensvale head office. The role involves leading tender submissions for commercial projects up to $50M, developing competitive strategies, and collaborating with clients and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pricing and preparation of tender submissions for projects up to $50M+
• Develop competitive, commercially sound tender strategies and first‑principles estimates
• Review subcontractor pricing, supplier quotations and QS estimates
• Identify risks, opportunities and alternative construction methodologies
• Maintain benchmarking databases and market intelligence
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• 10+ years estimating experience in commercial construction
• Proven track record pricing and securing projects up to $50M+
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, value engineering and Australian Standards
• Established relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and industry stakeholders
• Excellent commercial acumen, analytical skills and attention to detail
