Senior Finance Manager

About the role

An award-winning Tasmanian business, represented by Hays, is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join its Hobart team on a permanent full-time basis. The role reports directly to the CEO and leads a finance team while staying hands-on in the day-to-day finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a finance team and stay involved in daily finance operations
• Oversee statutory reporting, financial compliance and audit management
• Manage taxation (with support from a Chartered Accounting firm), governance, banking activities and financial control
• Ensure reporting obligations and compliance requirements are met
• Provide accurate, timely financial information to senior leadership to support decision-making

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified
• Proven experience leading finance teams and managing end-to-end financial operations in a commercial environment
• Strong financial reporting and statutory accounting experience
• Experience managing external audits and regulatory compliance
• People leadership capability, attention to detail and a hands-on approach
• Ability to build effective working relationships across the business

What we offer

• Salary of $150,000 to $170,000 plus superannuation
• A senior finance leadership role with genuine ownership of the finance function
