About the role
A Financial Crime & Fraud Operations team in Melbourne (Docklands) is recruiting AML Quality Control Analysts to review AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and scam decisions so that they are accurate, consistent and defensible. The role suits someone who wants to build a career in financial crime, with a large and supportive cohort, and does not require extensive experience.
Key responsibilities
- Review investigation outcomes and decisions across AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud and scams for accuracy and consistency
- Support the review of Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs)
- Identify patterns, gaps or inconsistencies and escalate where needed
- Take part in calibration sessions to build consistency across the team
- Contribute ideas for process improvement
Required profile
- Some experience in AML/CTF, KYC/CDD, fraud, scams or a broader financial crime/compliance environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working in a regulated environment
- Tertiary qualification and/or ACAMS (or similar) is a plus, not essential
