Senior Finance Manager (4‑month contract)

About the role

OFX is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead North American financial controllership, accounting and compliance for a 4‑month parental‑leave contract. Based in Sydney, you will act as the primary link between NA finance teams and global stakeholders, ensuring timely closes and robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end financial close for US and Canada entities, aligning with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and financial statements.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations, statutory audits and global audit coordination.
• Handle corporate, sales/use and property tax compliance, working with external tax advisors.
• Maintain internal control environment, including reconciliation accuracy and data integrity.

Required profile

• CPA or CA qualification with relevant tertiary accounting/finance education.
• 8+ years of accounting or controllership experience in a multinational or publicly listed environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and North American regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and manage cross‑border finance teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
