About the role

Catton & Tondelstrand Family Lawyers, a boutique family law firm on the Sunshine Coast, is seeking a Senior Family Lawyer (3+ years post-admission) to join its team. The role suits an experienced lawyer who manages files independently and wants high-quality work, leadership opportunities and a clear path for growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of complex family law matters, including parenting and property
• Appear regularly in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
• Advise clients with confidence, clarity and empathy
• Work with senior practitioners, support staff and the wider team
• Contribute to strategy, mentoring and the development of the practice
• Take part in advocacy, mediation and strategic litigation work

Required profile

• Current unrestricted Queensland Practising Certificate
• 3+ years' post-admission experience in family law
• Ability to manage client relationships with confidence and care
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a collaborative mindset

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of family law and procedure
• Drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
