Senior Estimator

About the role

Hindmarsh is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead pricing and cost planning for major tenders and ECI opportunities across NSW, ACT and SA. Based in Sydney, you will work closely with construction, leadership and supply‑chain teams to develop competitive, commercially sound bids.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the pricing and cost planning of major tenders and ECI opportunities.
• Develop accurate, competitive tender submissions and drive value management.
• Collaborate with construction teams, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to produce robust bids.
• Provide cost advice throughout design development and align design outcomes with budgets.
• Mentor and support junior estimators and cadets.

Required profile

• Significant estimating experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 building contractor.
• Experience pricing major construction projects valued at $50M+.
• Knowledge of various procurement models (Lump Sum, D&C, ECI).
• Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CostX, EstimateOne, Bluebeam or similar estimating software.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and risk identification.
