Senior Engineer, Traffic & Transport

About the role

The Engineering & Design team at Colliers is seeking a Senior Traffic & Transport Engineer to lead the delivery of high‑quality traffic and transport solutions across a diverse portfolio of development and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of technical reports, impact assessments and supporting documentation.
• Manage delivery of traffic and transport projects to meet timeframes and budgets.
• Oversee assessment of development applications against relevant standards and guidelines.
• Review and interpret traffic data, modelling outputs and analysis (e.g., SIDRA).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, councils and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to fee proposals, bids and project planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4–10 years’ experience in traffic and transport engineering (consulting or similar environment).
• Proven ability to manage projects and deliver high‑quality outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with interest in mentoring others.

Required skills

• SIDRA or similar traffic modelling tools.
• Traffic data analysis and modelling.
