Senior Engagement Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engagement Consultant to lead community and stakeholder activities across a diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects in Adelaide and regional South Australia. The role offers autonomy in day‑to‑day work while providing mentorship and strategic guidance from senior leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engagement activities such as workshops, information sessions and pop‑up events.
• Develop communication tools including newsletters, updates, notices and briefing materials.
• Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and produce engagement summaries and reports.
• Act as the primary point of contact for community members, councils, landowners and other stakeholders, recording concerns and escalating complex issues.
• Support analysis of stakeholder feedback and integrate insights into project reporting.
• Provide administrative and operational support to project managers and senior consultants to ensure deadlines are met.
• Uphold the professional reputation of Cunningham Partners and its clients through timely, respectful and accurate communication.

Required profile

• Proactive, professional and able to hit the ground running.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks concurrently and know when to seek strategic guidance.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience supporting project teams or working in a fast‑paced professional environment.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Australian citizenship (required for Defence‑related projects).

Required skills

• IAP2 certification or training (highly valued).
• Construction Industry White Card.
