Senior Director, Financial Control

About the role

Culture Amp is seeking a Senior Director to lead and modernise its global financial control function. This senior leadership position will shape strategy, drive automation, and ensure accurate, compliant financial operations across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategy, operating model and roadmap for global financial control covering reporting, compliance, tax, financial operations, vendor management and procurement.
• Lead automation and AI initiatives, establishing data foundations, definitions and operating rhythms.
• Provide senior oversight of record‑to‑report, statutory reporting, tax, payroll and vendor management, handling escalations and complex decisions.
• Represent financial control to the SVP, Executive team, Board and external auditors.
• Lead the North American payroll outsourcing transition with a focus on compliance and risk.
• Partner with Finance, Strategy, Legal, People and Engineering on systems, risk and reporting.
• Own and evolve financial policies, procedures and control frameworks.
• Develop and build succession depth across finance directors and managers.
• Support M&A due diligence, data‑room delivery and post‑deal integration.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading global financial control in a fast‑growing SaaS or technology business.
• Deep technical accounting and reporting expertise, including consolidation and audit management.
• Proven track record in finance transformation, systems modernisation and process automation.
• Experience overseeing global tax and payroll compliance.
• Demonstrated people leadership and ability to build high‑performing teams.
• Experience with financial due diligence or M&A readiness.
