Senior Designer / Architect - Education Campus Projects

About the role

Architectus, a multidisciplinary design practice with 800+ professionals across 13 studios in Australia and New Zealand, is hiring a Senior Designer / Architect for its Sydney studio. Working with a national team of design and delivery leaders in the education space, you will contribute to campus-defining projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project team, consultants, client and contractors as required.
• Contribute to the delivery of projects and project packages on time.
• Keep the project leader informed of all technical or design aspects so they can perform their role.
• Demonstrate delivery of approved technical and design documents.
• Work in teams and independently; opportunity to lead a small team on selected projects end-to-end.

Required profile

• Design-focused, with a passion for developing outstanding architecture.
• 5+ years of post-graduation experience; preference for 3+ years of local experience in a similar role.
• Located in Sydney.
• Experience in detailing, documentation and report writing.
• Preference for experience on large-scale, complex institutional and/or public projects.
• Valid Australian or New Zealand work visa; pre-employment screening applies.

Required skills

• Revit
• 3D modelling (Rhino preferred)
• Adobe skills
• Design communication through imagery and diagrams
• Knowledge of BCA/NCC and other relevant standards
