Remediation Specialist – Data Analyst

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Remediation Specialist – a data analyst focused on remediation – to support large‑scale customer, risk, regulatory and operational remediation initiatives. You will work closely with Business, Risk, Compliance and Technology teams to deliver data‑driven outcomes that improve both customer and business results.

Key responsibilities

• Write and optimise SQL, Hive and Teradata queries to extract, profile and analyse remediation datasets.
• Build and maintain PySpark and Python data pipelines orchestrated via Oozie for calculations and reporting.
• Support end‑to‑end remediation activities, action plans and governance reporting.
• Analyse audit findings and regulatory outcomes to identify remediation requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Business and Technology to conduct impact assessments and root‑cause analysis.
• Monitor remediation progress, risks, dependencies and milestones through dashboards.

Required profile

• Experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on remediation data.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation and attention to detail.
• Experience with governance, audit and compliance environments is highly regarded.
