Senior Customer Business Manager – Strategic Retail Partner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Customer Business Manager to lead our strategic partnership with Coles. This senior leadership position goes beyond day‑to‑day account management, focusing on building a long‑term, mutually beneficial relationship that aligns Coles’ strategy with Purina’s business ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop the strategic relationship with Coles, building strong partnerships across key customer stakeholders.
• Translate Coles’ strategy into growth opportunities for Purina and lead the Joint Business Plan development.
• Mobilise cross‑functional teams across Sales, Category, Marketing, Supply and Finance to execute the customer strategy.
• Identify and unlock opportunities across category growth, portfolio, innovation, activation and commercial execution.
• Lead commercial planning, negotiations and investment decisions while balancing Purina’s strategic and financial objectives.
• Coach and develop the team, fostering accountability and capability.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience working with Coles and/or Woolworths and a strong understanding of major grocery retail.
• Proven background in Customer/Account Management, Category Management or Commercial roles within FMCG.
• Track record of delivering strong commercial outcomes through customer partnerships.
• Ability to lead through influence and mobilise cross‑functional teams around a common agenda.
• People leadership experience with a focus on coaching, development and accountability.
