Senior Cost Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join a leading developer and operator of hyperscale data centre facilities in Sydney. You will be responsible for cost control across the full lifecycle of complex data centre construction projects, ensuring financial performance aligns with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost planning, estimating and budgeting from design through to project completion.
• Produce and analyse cost reports, forecasts and variance statements for multiple project packages.
• Oversee tendering, procurement and contract administration in line with commercial strategy.
• Review, negotiate and certify variations, claims and contractor payment applications.
• Provide timely cost advice to project leadership to support decision‑making.
• Identify and manage commercial risks throughout construction.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Support the development and implementation of cost‑management processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven cost‑management experience in construction, preferably in data centres, mission‑critical or other complex technical facilities.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk management.
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders and contractors.
• Ability to manage competing priorities on high‑value, fast‑paced projects.
