Senior Consultant – Tax Advisory

About the role

KPMG Australia is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Tax Advisory team, supporting a diverse client base that includes private businesses, high‑net‑worth families, start‑ups and multinational subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex tax matters, including domestic and international structuring, cross‑border transactions and tax authority reviews, audits and disputes.
• Provide tax advice on asset acquisitions and disposals, financing arrangements, IPO structuring, readiness and prospectus preparation.
• Maintain regular client contact, attend presentations and meetings with senior leaders, and ensure high‑quality client‑ready deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to distil and convey complex concepts both verbally and in writing.
• Experience in tax advisory within a Big 4 or mid‑tier professional services firm.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Law or similar, with a CA or CPA qualification.

Required skills

• Technical tax advisory expertise covering domestic and international tax structures.
• Knowledge of tax authority processes, audits and dispute resolution.
