Senior Consultant / Project Manager – Transaction & Investor Services

About the role

Roland Berger is launching its Australian office in Sydney and is looking for a Senior Consultant / Project Manager to join the fast‑growing Transaction & Investor Services team. You will lead and manage projects that support financial sponsors throughout the full transaction lifecycle, from opportunity identification to post‑transaction value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of work packages in large‑scale transactions and manage smaller projects end‑to‑end.
• Engage daily with client stakeholders at all levels, conducting interviews and group dialogues.
• Coach and develop junior consultants within project teams.
• Structure problems, analyse data, and synthesize insights for client presentations.
• Perform market, customer and competitive analysis.
• Conduct company financial and operational analysis, including building robust financial models.
• Prepare and deliver written and verbal communications of findings.
• Support client relationship management and contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in strategy consulting or 4‑8 years in relevant transaction‑focused roles (e.g., consulting, investment banking).
• Proven track record delivering buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.
• Strong stakeholder management and coaching abilities.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis and communication skills.
