Senior Consultant - Program and Project Risk Management

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Program and Project Risk Management practice in Brisbane. The role supports clients in identifying important risks, designing frameworks to manage them and improving the effectiveness of governance and management. It is a hybrid position based in Warringah (Sydney) or Meanjin (Brisbane), and roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to teams delivering program and project assurance engagements end to end, including scoping, document reviews, stakeholder consultation, observation of governance practices, and reporting and presenting observations and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Plan, prepare and review activities and deliverables for clients.
• Work on multiple client engagement teams within the practice and build productive working relationships with clients.
• Coach and support staff members to develop core risk and consulting skills.

Required profile

• Experience in a project controls, portfolio, program or project management office, risk and compliance officer or project management capacity at a blue-chip, government or professional services organisation.
• Experience in the public sector and/or education sector, with an understanding of learning and student management systems.
• Experience supervising a team, project or process to completion.
• Australian citizenship and baseline security clearance (or willingness to obtain) is a bonus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of project management and project governance concepts.
• Experience with enterprise technology solutions, including ERP, CRM and EMS software.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent writing and communication skills.
