Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH), the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, is seeking a proactive and adaptable Accounts Payable Officer for its Finance Division. Working in a small, supportive team, you will handle day-to-day accounts payable functions such as invoice processing, statement reconciliations and payment runs, while supporting the VMO Accounts team and working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager.

The current environment is manual and process-focused, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement. The role suits someone who brings a high level of accuracy, adaptability and a proactive approach, and who enjoys spotting ways to improve systems and processes. It is a permanent full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices and run payment runs
• Carry out statement reconciliations
• Support the VMO Accounts team
• Work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager
• Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders
• Help maintain accurate, audit-ready financial processes
