Senior Business Analyst (Digital)

About the role

Medibank is looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background delivering customer-facing digital experiences within Agile delivery squads. The role sits inside Agile squads and covers the full delivery cycle, from discovery through to implementation and release, turning customer, business and product needs into requirements, user stories and delivery outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Design and Technology teams to shape and deliver customer-focused digital solutions.
• Facilitate discovery activities, workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Elicit, analyse and document business and system requirements for digital products.
• Break initiatives into epics, features and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and ongoing delivery within Agile squads.
• Conduct customer journey mapping and touchpoint analysis.
• Work with UX, Engineering and Quality Assurance teams and ensure requirements are traceable through design, build, testing and release.
• Perform impact assessments, dependency analysis and scope change management.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a Business Analyst delivering software and digital solutions.
• Dedicated BA experience in Agile delivery squads focused on customer-facing digital products.
• Proven experience writing epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions and requirements elicitation.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence in Agile environments.
• Desirable: healthcare, insurance or regulated industry experience; digital CX programs, mobile app delivery and human-centred design.

The role suits BAs with hands-on digital delivery experience; enterprise transformation, infrastructure, integration, data/reporting, operational process improvement and testing/QA-only roles are not suitable.
