Senior Audit Lead - Retail Credit

About the role

The Senior Audit Lead – Retail Credit provides independent third‑line assurance over retail credit risk for ANZ. Reporting to the Audit Director – Credit Risk & Models, the role plans and executes complex audit engagements, delivering evidence‑based conclusions on governance, risk management and control effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex, high‑risk audit engagements across the Credit Risk Centre of Audit.
• Apply subject‑matter retail credit risk judgement to assess governance, risk frameworks and control effectiveness.
• Manage audit delivery to agreed timelines and budgets, ensuring disciplined execution and timely escalation of risks.
• Contribute to annual audit planning by providing input on risk themes, regulatory priorities and emerging issues.
• Collaborate with audit teams and business stakeholders to produce high‑quality audit outcomes in line with Internal Audit methodology and Global Internal Audit Standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience in internal audit, preferably within retail credit risk.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex audit projects.
• Strong understanding of credit risk governance and control environments.
