Senior Associates & Managers – Internal Audit

About the role

Scyne Advisory is seeking a highly motivated internal audit consultant to work with public‑purpose clients, helping build more equitable, resilient, secure and prosperous communities. You will lead internal audit engagements, develop client relationships and support business development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage delivery of internal audit engagements and programs across multiple public‑sector clients.
• Lead internal audit teams, ensuring high‑quality, insightful audit outcomes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client stakeholders, including line management, executives and audit committees.
• Provide expertise on risk management, corporate governance, business processes, controls and compliance.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development activities such as tender responses and thought‑leadership material.

Required profile

• 5+ years of internal audit and risk experience, preferably in the public sector or professional services.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications, with CIA preferred.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver audit projects to high standards.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Growth mindset, collaborative attitude and alignment with Scyne’s values.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of internal audit and risk management methodologies.
• Effective written and verbal communication, including preparing audit reports and presenting to stakeholders.
• Continuous learning mindset to stay abreast of trends, risks and innovations.
