Senior Associate - Internal Audit

About the role

Scyne Advisory is seeking a Senior Associate to lead internal audit engagements for public‑purpose clients. You will work across operational, strategic, compliance and financial risk areas, helping executives manage key risks with speed and precision.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and conduct internal audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, controls testing and reporting.
• Develop strategic internal audit plans tailored to client needs.
• Manage multiple client engagement teams within the Risk, Programs & Cyber practice.
• Coach and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Build strong client relationships and work with stakeholders to identify risk areas and improvement opportunities.
• Take ownership of delivery outcomes, leveraging broader team expertise as required.
• Contribute to the development of Scyne Advisory’s service offerings and internal tools.
• Report findings and present recommendations to senior business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Alignment with Scyne Advisory’s values of collaboration, impact, trust, inclusivity, innovation and ethics.
• Proven experience in internal audit, risk, governance or compliance within the public sector.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and mentor junior staff.
• Strong client‑facing and communication skills.
