Senior Associate – Estate Planning & Probate Lawyer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing legal‑tech business seeking an experienced Senior Associate to lead complex estate planning and probate matters. This role offers a modern, non‑billable, fixed‑fee environment with clear pathways for merit‑based progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex estate planning, probate, and estate administration matters.
• Conduct client consultations on wills, testamentary trusts, and probate strategies.
• Review and oversee work completed by junior lawyers and support staff.
• Assist with operational improvements and workflow efficiencies.
• Collaborate with leadership, operational, and product teams.
• Contribute to growth initiatives and client outcomes.
• Mentor and support developing legal professionals within the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 4+ years post‑qualification experience in estate planning and/or estate administration.
• Strong experience managing complex probate matters.
• Experience with testamentary trusts, wills, and estate structures.
• Excellent communication and commercial client management skills.
• Ability to manage high‑volume legal work efficiently.
• Current Australian practising certificate.
• Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen, or Permanent Resident.
