Senior Analyst, Markets

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Senior Analyst, Markets to join its Energy Markets team in Melbourne. You will develop market, pricing and revenue models for the National Electricity Market (NEM) and provide insights that guide off‑take, hedging, portfolio management and new renewable investments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop market, pricing and revenue models across the NEM.
• Analyse market trends, portfolio performance and commercial opportunities.
• Support pricing and assessment of PPAs, hedging products and new investment opportunities.
• Deliver reporting and insights for executives, boards and commercial stakeholders.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, analytical tools and reporting processes.
• Perform scenario analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Origination, Development, Finance and Asset Management on high‑impact projects.

• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience in energy markets, market analysis, portfolio analytics, trading support or revenue modelling.
• Strong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM).
• Advanced analytical and modelling capability using Excel, SQL and Python or R.
• Experience working with market data and translating technical findings into business recommendations.
