Senior Analyst - External Audit

About the role

A leading global professional services firm is recruiting a Senior Analyst for its growing External Audit team in Perth, through Bluefin Resources. The team has an established presence and a strong pipeline of new client engagements, especially in mining, oil and gas and resources, with exposure to large, complex organisations including ASX-listed businesses. The role sits within a collaborative, experienced team offering ongoing professional development, career progression and flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver external audit engagements across a diverse portfolio of clients, with a focus on mining, resources and listed entities.
• Perform audit testing, risk assessments and financial statement reviews in line with relevant auditing standards.
• Identify key financial reporting risks, control weaknesses and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver engagements to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
• Build strong relationships with clients and provide practical insights throughout the audit process.
• Support and guide junior team members where required.

Required profile

• Ideally 3-5 years of external audit experience within a professional services firm, preferably Big Four; candidates from larger mid-tier firms will also be considered.
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, ideally completed or nearing completion.
• Exposure to mining, oil and gas, resources or ASX-listed clients is highly regarded.
• Full Australian working rights without the need for employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, auditing methodologies and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
