Senior Analyst – Controls Assurance (Internal Audit)

About the role

Join Deloitte's Controls Assurance team as a Senior Analyst, helping major Australian organisations strengthen their controls, governance and assurance frameworks. You will work on internal audit engagements and controls assurance projects across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver internal audit engagements and assess control design, effectiveness and risk themes.
• Identify gaps or emerging risks and recommend practical actions to mitigate them.
• Provide client‑facing support, working closely with national teams and stakeholders.
• Guide and mentor junior team members throughout engagements.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complex ideas.
• Experience planning and delivering process risk and control projects.
• Solid understanding of business processes and controls with an insight‑driven approach.
• Proactive mindset with interest in emerging technologies and risks.

Required skills

• Certifications such as CIA or CA (preferred).
• Experience with data analytics or information systems.
