Senior Advisor – Business & Tax Advisory

About the role

This role offers a great opportunity to grow your consulting and advisory career within KPMG’s Business & Tax Advisory team. You will work collaboratively to deliver tax compliance and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients, building technical capabilities across tax and accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for small businesses.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other compliance obligations.
• Support the delivery of tax compliance and advisory engagements, including Division 7A compliance and trust distribution calculations.
• Develop an understanding of various business structures such as companies, trusts, partnerships and corporate groups.
• Maintain accurate client records and working papers while collaborating with team members to ensure quality outcomes.

Required profile

• 1-3 years’ experience in Business Services & Tax, public practice or professional services.
• Foundational knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
• Full working rights in Australia.
