Senior Accountant – Tax Specialist

About the role

Mondiale VGL is seeking a CA/CPA‑qualified Senior Accountant to lead tax compliance and advisory across its global logistics network. You will act as the primary tax expert, influencing strategic decisions and ensuring the business stays ahead of regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, monthly Group tax workpapers and Boardpack notes for senior leadership.
• Own GST, BAS/IAS, FBT, WHT and fuel tax rebate compliance, keeping the company ahead of legislative changes.
• Provide actionable tax recommendations directly to senior leadership and contribute to cross‑border tax strategy.
• Collaborate with headquarters and external advisors on international tax matters.
• Partner with management on P&L, CAPEX planning, budgets and forecasts.
• Lead tax focus for half‑year reviews and end‑of‑financial‑year audits.
• Maintain CargoWise One GL charge codes, compliance reporting and employee disbursements via SAP Concur.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects across the business, ensuring variety and continuous learning.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification with at least 5 years of corporate accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of AASB standards, Australian Tax Acts and related legislation.
• Experience in public practice or multinational tax environments is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
