Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

Barings is seeking a highly analytical Senior Fund Accountant to join its Real Estate Australia Finance Team in Sydney. The role offers hands‑on exposure to both domestic and international real‑estate fund and project entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate month‑end management accounts, consolidated fund financials and IFRS reports.
• Review property accounting from external managers and provide technical accounting and tax advice.
• Produce quarterly unit‑price reporting, annual statutory reports and support audit processes.
• Handle tax calculations, BAS, GST, land tax and other compliance matters.
• Assist with cash‑flow forecasting, cost tracking, budget variance analysis and system administration.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA) with at least 2 + years post‑qualification experience.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, strong attention to detail and a team‑player mindset.
• Experience in funds management, financial services or property industry.

Required skills

• Proficiency with large accounting systems, specifically MRI.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
