Senior Accountant / Tax Manager - Private Clients

About the role

A highly successful, approximately 100-person accounting and advisory firm is looking for a technically sharp, articulate Senior Accountant or Tax Manager to join its Private Clients division, which is growing rapidly. The role sits in a high-volume portfolio with a clear pathway to a Consultant or leadership position equivalent to a non-equity partner managing a team. The firm's main advantage is that it relies mostly on organic referrals, so business development is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume, premium portfolio of High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs)
• Deliver end-to-end tax compliance, including financial statements, complex personal tax returns, trusts and private structures
• Act as the trusted, articulate point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional relationship management
• Mentor junior staff and run division workflows efficiently

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in an Australian mid-tier or tier 2 accounting firm (Business Services, Private Advisory or Private Clients)
• CA or CPA qualification preferred or in progress
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to handle high-profile individual clients
