Senior Accountant – Tax & Business Advisory

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing Tax and Business Advisory division. You will work with a diverse portfolio of small‑business and personal tax clients, providing high‑quality financial and tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and activity statements for a range of clients.
• Assist and mentor junior team members in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
• Run client meetings for small‑business and personal tax matters.
• Support Directors and Managers with tax planning, research and advisory work.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes to accounting standards, tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute to a client‑focused, supportive workplace culture.
• Network to strengthen the Moore brand and maintain client relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce, Business or a related degree.
• CA or CPA qualification attained or nearing completion.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Proven ability to prepare complex income tax returns.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong initiative, organisational skills and ability to meet client deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with a focus on building trusted business relationships.
• National police clearance (within six months) and Australian working rights.
