Senior Accountant

About the role

The senior accountant will join the Australian finance team of a global renewable energy IPP, working on a growing portfolio of wind, solar and BESS projects. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the role covers financial and statutory reporting, audit management and technical accounting support across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts and financial reporting for several Australian entities.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in line with AASB/IFRS.
• Manage the full external audit process from planning to completion.
• Provide technical accounting support on revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments and inter‑company transactions.
• Oversee month‑end close, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Support tax and compliance duties, including BAS/GST and transfer pricing.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualification with strong financial and statutory reporting experience.
• Proven experience managing external audits and working with multiple entities or project‑based structures.
• Knowledge of AASB/IFRS and experience in renewable energy, utilities or infrastructure is highly regarded.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
