Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join our boutique practice on the Gold Coast. This full‑time position is ideal for accountants with 2–5 years of experience in an Australian public practice looking to develop their tax and accounting expertise within the hospitality and strata sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare income tax returns and financial statements for clients.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Provide bookkeeping services and maintain client ledgers.
• Respond to client queries and liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on their behalf.

Required profile

• 2–5 years experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience with Xero software (preferred).

• Xero (Tax, Practice Manager, Accounting) software.
• Bookkeeping.
