Senior Accountant – Business Services

About the role

Pitcher Partners is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Private Business Family Advisory division. You will act as an internal management accountant for key clients while also supporting the broader tax advisory team, giving you exposure to both management accounting and tax work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare payroll, including deductions, redundancies and PAYG Withholding for large withholders.
• Execute month‑end processes such as depreciation, pre‑payments, accruals, inter‑group invoicing and reconciliation workpapers.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements and payroll tax returns.
• Manage client relationships, collect information, address queries and deliver month‑end accounts.

Required profile

• Business or Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
• Completed or ongoing CA/CPA qualification.
• 3‑5 years of experience in professional services with solid month‑end accounting skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, under pressure and collaborate effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with client accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite and Xero.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
